“A warm welcome to Matlock Motor Club’s Dansport Road Rally 2014. Our sincere thanks go to Dan and his team for their continued sponsorship of the event.

This great event was introduced in the 1990s as a clubman half-nighter and is now well established in the local road rally calendar. As with all Matlock road rallies, it should provide an enjoyable yet demanding route with no-nonsense navigation. This year the 135 mile route uses many classic lanes mainly on map 119, of which approximately 4 miles are unsurfaced.

This year, the event is the final round of the ANEMMC, ANWCC, and ANCC championships and the penultimate round of the SD34 championships, so there should be much to play for.

Following our success in previous years in raising substantial funds for local charities we are operating a similar venture on this year’s event. The chosen charity will again be the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance – do please try to make a contribution to this worthy cause either by a donation with your entry or the collection boxes at the start. Matlock MC will also be donating £5 to the DLRAA for each entry.
