“Carlton and District Motor Club have the pleasure of inviting you to The Huntsman Rally for 2013. This year’s event will again take place in the daytime only and with more than one permit will enable us to offer entries to Historic, Classic and Modern vehicles. We will have a Clubman’s permit so crews without competition licences can take part, including a Beginners class that will have their own easier route instructions and there is even a free training / information day. The Rally HQ will be at the same place as last year, Wilson Golf Club in Wilson, Nr Melbourne, South Derbyshire and will use our unique special test venues.
This year we will also be welcoming the competitors from the 2013 Sportway Tyres Endurance Road Rally Championship and Endurance Road Rally Championship Summer Challenge as we have been selected to be a round for 2013. The event will consist of 3 Regularity Road sections and Special Tests on private land, all linked by Transport sections. Again like last year, in order to keep the entry cost as low as possible, we have planned the event on a “no frills” basis. The event has a low entry fee of £75 and a low minimum entry number of 25. Please take advantage of the specially negotiated food
package if you wish – it will save you money!
We would like to thank our sponsors Bits at Micks of Nottingham and GB Engineering Services of Alfreton as well as the many landowners for their support and as in previous years the club will be supporting the local Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance. Any additional voluntary donations will be appreciated (see the entry form). Without us supporting the DLRAA it would not be possible to run the event. As with last year our photographer Graham Phillpott will be donating his profits to the DLRAA.
Following on from the last two years very successful events come and enjoy all the ingredients for a top days rallying and kick off your National Motorsport Week with Carlton and District. Space is limited at the Start/Finish therefore we have had to limit the number of entries to 55 cars. Please ask any questions, particularly if you are a “beginner”.”
