“Welcome to the 2013 J.D. Romain Memorial Novice Rally.

This event is named after our late President & one of the founder members of Rhyl & District Motor Club. Anybody who knew Mr Jack Romain would have recognised that he was the backbone of motorsport in North Wales. His experience was vast ranging from Welsh Clerk of the Course on the RAC rally to being a Rally Liaison Officer (RLO) for the MSA where he was very highly regarded.

We are indebted to our sponsors Rikki and Helen Proffitt (Maes Dolau Caravan Park). Rikki is a very active member in motorsport and has competed for many years on Road and Stage events, with many successful results. This is the fifth year they have sponsored this event and the club would like to thank them for their continued support.

The format for the event will be timed to the minute with a tie deciding section for results purposes. It will be run over 97% classic 116 roads and 3% whites.

The event will be of the pre plot format (issued at MC0), with plenty of help available to you from the organisers to successfully complete the event.”
